Opening hours

The Librarian is available 11:30–18:00 Mon-Wed during term-time. However, appointments are possible Mon–Wed during College holidays.

Disabled access

The majority of the collection is on the ground floor but some parts are only accessible by steep stairs. There are no lifts in the building

Lending to other libraries & visitors

Not at present. The library is reference only. Researchers are welcome to visit as often as they wish.

Special Collections

The Recusant Library has a collection of 12,000 catalogued items of Catholic interest, mostly books and collections of pamphlets, dating from c. 1470–1850. Access is strictly limited, but specified contents can be viewed by appointment.
